GALBRAITH - Iain Very peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital on 20th December 2021, Iain, much loved husband of Sheila, and brother-in-law of Norman. Private Cremation but live streamed thanksgiving service at Lomond Parish Church in Balloch (where Iain was organist) on Monday 10th January 2022 at 2pm. Sadly missed by many.

Dear Sheila,
I am so terribly sorry to hear this news. Iain was my music teacher at Douglas Academy in the 70’s. I had huge admiration for him. His humour, his discipline and all round enthusiasm. Iain was the reason I left school with a great interest in music. I left Douglas Academy with a new goal in life and pursued my new love of music to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. I have now been in the music business for thirty years now, playing many leading roles in the West End London and the Opera world. I can safely say Iain was the first person to recognise a talent which I had no idea I had and started me off on the road, which I feel incredibly grateful for.
