SPAIN - Annie (née Bunton) Peacefully, aged 92, on 28th November 2021. Annie, only daughter of John and Mary Bunton, wife of the late Andrew Spain, beloved mother of John. Funeral at 11.20am on Thursday 30th December at North East Surrey Crematorium, Morden, SM4 4NU.

Reading of Annie Spains death saddens me, but it also brings back very happy memories of the time she taught me science in The Albert in Glasgow. What strikes me now is how young Miss Bunton was then, as I was 12 at the time she must have been only 22 years old. Miss Bunton was a popular teacher and loved by her pupils. I later met up her again when I was in London for a few years in the early 60’s. At that time she sang, (if I remember correctly) in the Philharmonia chorus, singing under many famous conductors. A wonderful life combining music and science.
