DOW - Pamella Elder Peacefully at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow on 20th November 2021, aged 79 years. Pamella Elder Dow "Pam", former principal percussionist with the RSNO and teacher at the Royal Conservatoire. Lovingly missed big sister to Graeme and sister-in-law Lynn, aunt, friend to many, "musical mum" to Louise, and Scottish "Abuela" to Alba, Raul, and Leo. Funeral service at Giffnock South Parish Church, Friday 3rd December at 2.30pm. Donations to The Amber Trust or Cancer Research UK, if so desired, in lieu of flowers. Cortege will pass Conservatoire and Concert Hall around 1pm.

I was very sad to hear this news today. I always enjoyed hearing Pam play and being in her company. She was always full of fun and will be sadly missed.

Very sorry to hear this news. There must be thousands of people like myself who are so grateful to have enjoyed Glasgow’s superb classical music. Pam and Jenni were pillars of that scene. Long may it continue . May she rest in peace
