ARMOUR - James Professor Sir James Armour CBE, born 17th September 1929, died peacefully on 31st October 2021. James had a distinguished academic career during a long association with the University of Glasgow, where he was a Professor in Veterinary Parasitology. He was Dean of the Glasgow Vet School 1986-91 and a Vice Principal of the University 1991-96. In 1995 he was knighted for services to Veterinary Science and Education. An accomplished golfer, he won the British Boys Championship in 1947. James is survived by his wife Christine, daughters Linda and Fiona and son Craig. He will be missed by all who knew him. A service will be held at Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr on 18th November at 12 noon. No flowers please, donations to Alzheimer's Research UK.
