IRVINE - William (Bill) Suddenly at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Wednesday 15th September 2021, Bill, beloved husband of Margaret, loving father to Andrew and Mark, a dear grandfather and devoted brother of Douglas. Royal Bank of Scotland area manager for Coatbridge and Airdrie till 1996. Funeral service at Linn Crematorium on Friday 8th October at 11am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.

Hello Margaret, Andrew and Mark. May I say how sad I was to hear the news of Bill. I worked at National Commercial Bank at 47 St Vincent Street and knew Bill from when he arrived. He was a super character, always full of fun and was a great favourite. For some reason I particularly remember him playing table tennis in the basement with some of the boys. You may not remember, but I met you, Margaret and Andrew, by chance on holiday in either 1973 or 1974 in Dumfries-shire when Bill happened to see me walking along. I know Bill will be a huge miss to his family and friends and I send my sympathy to you. Kindest regards. Moyra Simpson
