GERRY - John McTear (Jack) It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Gerry announces his passing on 21st May 2021 at the age of 82 years. Jack passed away peacefully at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Margaret, their three sons: Craig, Ross and Scot and their families. Jack worked in the Glasgow shipyards and from 1960 until 1997 was employed by British Rail as a Railway booking clerk. Outside of his family his passions included all sport, especially football, walking in the outdoors across the UK and music. A private funeral service will be held at Linn Crematorium on Monday 7th June with a gathering thereafter at GHA Rugby Club from 2pm onwards.
