Arthur, former Harbour Master, Clydeport Authority, beloved husband of the late Helen Young, loving father of John Allan, Susan and the late David, proud grandpa of Euan and Eilidh. Susan and John Allan, I was very sad to hear of the death of your father. As a Kent family member, I have happy memories of Arthur and Helen, both such lovely people. Long ago I used to babysit for you both and David. We kept in touch with your Dad for a long time. I always thought of him as a gentle and caring person. Thinking of you in your loss.

Very sorry to hear your news. Your mum and dad were friends of our late parents for many years in Clarkston. Your dad was a wonderful, kind and caring man. We will remember him with great affection.
