Bridget (nee Mc Camley) Mc Kernan

McKERNAN - Bridget (nee McCamley) Peacefully on Saturday 6th March 2021, aged 91. Born 19th March 1929 in Glasgow. Married 1952 Francis (Frank) McKernan (died 1984). She lived in Burnside and was a parishioner of St Bride's R.C. Church, Cambuslang. She previously lived in Dalmarnock, East Kilbride and Cambuslang. She was a teacher and head teacher for many years in schools including: St John's in the Gorbals, Our Lady of Lourdes in East Kilbride, St Mary's in Calton, St Teresa's in Possilpark, St Columba's in Maryhill, St Clare's in Easterhouse. She retired in 1986. Family was her great love. She was devoted all her life to her sisters and brother, and deeply committed to her four children, eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Bridget was cared for with the greatest kindness by staff at Greenfield Park Care Home in Carntyne from Spring 2019 until her death. Funeral was held on 16th March at St Bride's, Cambuslang.
