MacMILLAN Mary (May) (Beith) Peacefully at Crosshouse Hospital on Thursday 11th March 2021, Mary (May) beloved wife of the late Hamish, devoted mother to Iain and mother-in-law to Jennifer. A loving sister to Christine and John. Adored grandma to Andrew and Roslyn and their respective spouses Jemma and Chris and a loving great-grandma to Adelyn, Logan, Parker and Jackson. No longer in our lives but always in our hearts. The funeral service to be held in Beith Parish Church on Thursday 25th March at 1pm, will be private in accordance with Government guidelines. I was saddened to hear of the passing of May this morning. May was Senior Science Technician at Garnock Academy when I left Jordanhill teaching college back in 1985. She was a true professional and helped me, not only to settle into the teaching profession in my early years, but also on numerous occasions before her retrial many years later. A stickler for ‘apparatus order lines’ which should always be presented in good time, she would always make sure that ‘last minute’ lines would be filled ....... if possible.

I have many happy memories of May and will be thinking of her and the family at the time of her funeral tomorrow. Sadly I will not be able to stream the ceremony as I will be at a previous appointment at Ayr Hospital.

My condolences to all the family at this sad time.
