Published on 12/03/2021

WAUGH - Elizabeth Born 1930, died suddenly but peacefully on 28th February 2021 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. For many years Betty worked as a secretary to MD and Managers at Templeton's carpet factory where she was a highly valued member of staff. After redundancy Betty worked in the Engineering Department at Glasgow University where she especially enjoyed working with overseas students. In retirement she volunteered with Vision Africa which included volunteering in Kenya. Betty was a much loved Sunday School Teacher, Guide Captain, friend and mentor. She will be sadly and sorely missed by all her very dear friends. Funeral, due to Covid restrictions will be private, but the Hearse will leave from Betty's home should anyone wish to pay their respects. The funeral is on Tuesday 16th February at 3pm and will be led by the Rev. Louis Reddick of Shettleston New Church. There will be a live web-cast (details from Rev. Reddick). We hope to hold a Memorial Service when allowed.
