GREIG - Ian Passed away peacefully on 9th February 2021, aged 97, at Goldielea Care Home, Dumfries. Dear husband of Elspeth, loving father to George, Colin and Margaret and devoted stepfather to Iain, Eileen and Janette. Caring father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. Ian was a proud D-Day Veteran and a member of the Dumfries Male Voice Choir. Ian was formerly from East Kilbride where he was an elder of the West Kirk Church. Nina and I are sad to hear of Ian's passing. Our condolences for your loss.
It was always a pleasure to meet Ian and we have fond memories of him. We will never forget his sketches with Jessie, it was always fun. The last time we met him was 2 years ago when he was in Normandy with Jos Mark and both of Jos's sons. He then gave me the enclosed photo. I have now given it a color and I hope you like it.
Nina and I watched the funeral ceremony together and although not physically, we were glad to attend it.
We wish you all the best for the coming period and hope that Elspeth will recover soon.
