As a family we had so many opportunities to spend time with Archie, Jean and the family, especially Heather, when we lived in Newton Mearns. Sharing lots of laughs, stories, and wonderful memories of warm welcomes when we gathered. It's been many years, but I recall those eyes and his smile that would sparkle to light up a room. Our hearts go out to you with deepest sympathy and much love. Sue Ann (Johnson) Cormack and family

We are so sorry to hear of Archie's passing. I personally have so many fond memories of him as a most intelligent and witty man of great stature. He was a good friend of my parents as well and my husband Tom and I remember enjoying the wine of the country with him during a visit there. He will be well remembered and deeply missed in my family and of course I am thankful that he and Jean brought my dear friend Heather into the world. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and we are sending God's peace, love, and hugs to you all. Love, Carolyn and Tom Espel

A delightful gentleman who was a wonderful raconteur and great company. Jean and Archie epitomised devotion and love as a married couple.
We were privileged to know Archie. John & Isobel Dawson
