Very sad to hear of Ronnie's death. He was scrum half and I was outside half in Ayr Academy 1st 15 in 1963/64 - photo attached. He was alway at pains to remind me that he did all the work and like many fly halfs, I was the window dressing. Despite his insults, we spent much time together, and I fondly remember those halcyon days. He was a feisty player and a good friend, and we remained so after leaving school to the extent that he was invited to be best man at my wedding in Surrey. My thoughts are with Greig and Glyn at this very difficult time.
