Moira was a giant of Scottish Education! She was a wonderful teacher and a tireless advocate for children and young people with additional support needs, as well as for their educators. She was an inspiration!.
Moira was instrumental in establishing the National Association for Special Educational Needs (NASEN) in Scotland back in the early 1980s. She served on the Warnock Committee.
As a lecturer at Saint Andrew's College she trained generations of teachers who went on to hold significant roles in the education of children and young people with additional support needs. Her influence on Scottish education cannot be overstated!
More than that however, Moira was a wonderful friend; loyal, humorous, honest and generous. And so very courageous!
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
