Nancy you were a great neighbour to us and always full of positivity, wit, wisdom and smiles. We will all miss our chats with you and your sense of humour. I will also very much miss your gardening tips and general advice. We will not forget you and take comfort knowing that you are at peace looking over all of your family until you are once again reunited. Lots of love from Craig, Maureen, Craig Jnr and Graham ****

Covid-19 is limiting attendance at funerals so I would just like to say...

My gran was a very sociable person who enjoyed the companionship of many great friends, including ramblers and amblers, the ladies at keepfit, the bowlers at the local club in Milton of Campsie, and the ‘girls’ who liked a coffee and a natter at Mariana’s. Thank you so much for being such good friends and filling the hours with fun and laughter. She appreciated your friendship so much, and missed the opportunities to meet this year because of Covid-19 lock downs. Gran had wonderful life-long friends in Nancy and Willie Y. and Margaret W. all very dear to her - thanks for sharing the highs and lows of life and for giving her the gift of your friendship. So many of her dear friends have passed on, and she really valued you and the shared memories of the past.

Nancy also had some fabulous, caring neighbours - thank you so much for taking the time to chat and pop in, and to look out for her, especially Mary and Jim, and Lorna, Maureen and Craig.

You all helped to make Nancy the happy, positive, humorous person she was. I hope you miss her sharp wit because I will! X Kirstin

I was so lucky to have such a lovely Gran, she was always so caring and kind. She taught me the best thing you can give someone is your time, and my children and I are very grateful for all the time she gave us, and I wish we had more of it. I will always remember her wee phrases like, 'take one for each hand,' (jammy pancakes and chocloate biscuits) 'what's for you won't go by you,' and all the others. Her wee phrases and caring example will get passed down the line. 'Pay it forward' she said. Gran will 'always sit on my shoulder.'
Thank you to everyone at the Royal, Ward 53, who cared for my Gran. They were absolutely outstanding, caring, kind and compassionate. We are so lucky to have such fantastic people working for our NHS.
Thank you very much to all of Gran's very many friends for their kind messages and support. We hope to give Gran the fantastic celebration she deserves soon. Her service will be live streamed tomorrow and can be accessed for 28 days afterwards. Best wishes to you all.

Love you so much, Gran. Thanks for all the amazing memories and your kindness. I’ll never forget the wee road trips and visits to Arisaig and Morar, the garden parties and the warm hugs and laughter. You will always be in our hearts.
