MACLEOD - Iain Padruig Suddenly, but peacefully, on Tuesday 8th December 2020, Iain aged 72 years, beloved husband of Monica, loving dad to Kirsty and Nicola, adored grandpa of Oskar, Astrid, Dominic and Fergus, a dear father-in-law to Stuart and John, a much loved son and brother to the family. A private Requiem Mass will be held at St Aloysius Church, Rose Street and thereafter to the Linn Crematorium on Saturday, 19th December. Family flowers only please. Sincere thanks to the staff at ICU2 at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. Requiescat in pace.

I taught in John Bosco whilst Iain was there. I’ll always remember his humour and gentle manner even in the most demanding times. Condolences to the family. Patricia O’Callaghan

I'd have gotten myself up to Glasgow to attend my lovely Cousin Iain's funeral, but these Corona times put paid to that possibility. I've read the previous messages eagerly & they reflect the gentle nature that Iain had. He always had that nice way about him, even though I saw him rarely. My thoughts right now are particularly with the family he has left behind, particularly Monica. I aim to get up to see his place of rest one day. God rest you, big Cousin Iain.

Deeply saddened to hear of Iain's death. I have fond memories of first meeting up with Iain when he was studying Italian in Perugia, and our paths subsequently crossed many times both socially and in our respective classics careers. My sincere sympathy to Monica and all Iain's family . Quem putamus perisse, praemissus est.

Very sad to hear of Iain’s passing. He was very intelligent,sincere and one of life’s gentle people. If life was full of Iain Macleods it would be a happy happy place,A true gentleman. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
