GAMBLE - Mairead Anne Peacefully passed away on 25th August 2020. Beloved wife of the late Edward Gamble. Loving mother of Sally, Susie and Maggie. Much loved grandmother of Jane, David and Charlotte and loving great-grandmother to Reilley. She will be sadly missed by everyone. Due to recent circumstances a private funeral will take place at Old Polmont Cemetery on Friday 4th September at 2pm.

I’m sorry to read of Mairead passing. When a teenager & in my early 20s my family lived at 37 Beech Ave directly opposite Mairead & her family. A lovely lady. My thoughts are with you all. Alan Runciman.

Very sorry to read the sad news. I had not seen Mairead since our young days but attach a photograph of us after playing together in the final of the West of Scotland Junior Tennis Mixed Doubles at Pollokshields Tennis Club in 1953.

Sincere sympathy to the family from Ronald Douglas, currently "stranded" in New Zealand. I remember Mairead well as a good tennis player at Newlands! She was also the niece of my former partner Dr Hugh Kennedy.
