STORIE - Ruth Peacefully at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, on Wednesday 15th July 2020. Ruth, beloved wife of the late Bill, dear mother of Thora, Wilma, Corinne, Alastair and the late Christopher. A much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. A private funeral service will take place on Saturday 1st August, where Ruth can be in your thoughts.

Very sad to hear of Ruth's passing. My wife Eleanor grew very fond of her after meeting her through a mutual friend who'd she'd worked on the Glasgow Cookery book with. We had the pleasure of spending a lovely day at her exquisite house in Houston where she charmed us with stories of times past. We met her after her move to the West End and received a lovely note in the way that older people just did.
A one of a kind - you will have touched the lives of many and may you rest in peace. Sympathies with her family and friends x
