RENNIE - Dr James Stark (Jim) CBE of Elie, Fife Died on Saturday 11th July 2020, at St Andrews Community Hospital, St Andrews, after a short illness. Much loved husband of the late Ann and adored father of Gavin and David and of the late Samantha. Jim was so proud of his 5 grandchildren and will be terribly missed. Funeral private due to current restrictions.

Hallo Gavin and David,
I was one of your Father's contemporaries as a student at Glasgow Dental Hospital .
Your Father was very helpful in assisting a young Englishman settle into life in Glasgow .
Mind you , it helped that after persuading me to play for the Dental Students Football team , of which he was an integral part , he found that ,although I was English, I was rather a good Goalkeeper.
In those days your Father was also quite a useful player and it may surprise you ,only knowing him in later life ,that once he pulled on a pair of football boots he transformed into a typical diminutive, red haired ,combative, Billy Bremner (esque) Scottish midfielder .
Anyway ,I digress .
I just wanted to tell you that your Father was one of life's nice Guys and I was saddened to hear of his passing.
