LYALL - Mhairi (nee Leith) After a determined personal battle together with the never ending support, care and devotion of her husband Sandy, daughters Lisa and Kerry, the constant encouragement of family members and numerous friends, Mhairi succumbed peacefully at home, on Saturday 30th May 2020, to appendiceal cancer. She had just recently celebrated her 66th birthday and her 45th wedding anniversary. Mhairi was a much loved, tremendously supportive wife and devoted mother. She was the daughter of Sandra and the late Freddy Leith. Also much loved by brother Iain. A private funeral service will take place on Friday 12th June at 2pm, but other family members and friends are invited to take a moment for reflection at this time.

my deepest sympathy to the Lyall family, I worked along side Mhairi when she did the community alarms at Clarkston office of East Renfrewshire Council Social Work Department. she will be sadly missed by friends and colleagues who knew her well. My thoughts and prayers are with you all this very sad time.

To Sandy,Kerry and Lisa and to Sandra and Ian.
I was very sorry to read of Mhairi's passing.
Although I hadn't seen her or Ian for many years I have very fond memories of our time in Newton Mearns and Castle Court.
She brought joy and vivacity to life and was a well loved part of my childhood.
I was often in the house and Freddy used to take me to school. These simple things never get forgotten. I even remember their bonkers Airedale terrier.
As a person she will always be remembered. Although difficult for you just now please think of the wonderful person you shared your lives with and all the great times you had together.

Mhairi was a wonderful vibrant lady, who would do anything for you.
I was at her retirement, she was a colleague, and much respected in the profession. My deepest condolences to all the family. I will take time to reflect the happy times of her company.
