Susan, my deepest condolences to you and Gordon and all the family, especially Anne. I first met Jim in October, 1969 when I started work for him in our beloved Stationery and Diary Dept. in Collins. He was a lovely man, a great boss and eventually a dear friend. We had great times together, both on and off the golf course! Although Eileen and I moved to Canada in 1995, we still exchanged Christmas cards and it always took me a few days to decipher his writing! An absolute gentleman who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. RIP Jim.

I had just read the notice about your Mum and left you a message in the M&B Herald when I noticed your message to us. Thank you for your thoughts, Anne; you and your family are in ours. I shall miss our Birdston family, and I'll never forget your lovely Mum. Hugs, Suzy McAnsh and all the family xxx

Sending love to all of Jim’s family from mine. We lost mum ( Sheila) at Birdston on 10/5 too, I thought of the residents and their family as my Birdston family and life will never be the same again for any of us. Jim was indeed a gentleman and I will be thinking of you all at this hard time xx
