GENDERS - Sheila Peacefully at home, on Sunday 12th April 2020, Sheila Genders (Medical Social Worker & Distinguished Member of Fereneze Golf Club). Loving daughter of the late Sydney and Mary (Moira), honorary aunt to Harvie and Hunter Milligan and their families.

Played golf with and against Sheila many times at Haggs Castle and Fereneze She was also part of the Haggs Castle winning Golf team (Greenlees Trophy) in the 1990's. Had great fun going to the Scottish Ladies Championships in the 80's and 90's - She will be sadly missed by many.

My circle of friends was the richer for having Sheila as one. A lady of standards − of principle, as a colleague has said, knowledgeably appreciative of her Scottish heritage, with a relishable sense of humour (gently pin-pricking or reductive if appropriate to circumstances), and in her heyday an excellent golfer who could out-drive the men.

I worked with Sheila in Ayrshire. An absolutely delightful person who was committed to making a difference in people’s lives. She was supportive and caring and was a lady of principle. I am sure she will be remembered fondly by many colleagues.
