FLETCHER - Hugh Steel Retired GP East Kilbride Peacefully after a short illness. Beloved husband of Sheena, devoted father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and uncle. Private family funeral due to current restrictions. The family wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Ward 13 Hairmyres Hospital for all their help in difficult circumstances. Hugh will be sadly missed.

Hugh was a fine GP "colleague" in East Kilbride. A strong sense of what was right and a valued judgement. Never short of a word of advice.
