Last month, the much anticipated Fallachan Kitchen made its debut with a number of special supper events at its unique railway arch location in Glasgow’s west end. Chef Craig Grozier’s menus, which are served at a communal chef’s table, showcase the wealth of “wild food” that is waiting to be discovered in Scotland.

Six by Nico Merchant City, Glasgow
After six years of operations in the city and the opening of 15 sites throughout the UK and Ireland, the brand is moving into a new phase with a new look. Six by Nico Merchant City opens on Monday at 64 Albion St, Glasgow, with all bookings from the Finnieston venue transferred to the new flagship city centre location.

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse, Edinburgh
Rio Brazilian Steakhouse is set to introduce its “non-stop meats” eating concept to the Scottish market. A buffet with an endless salad bar, sushi and a variety of cut pork, chicken and beef at the table will give hungry customers complete control over their meal.

The Maker, Dundee 71 Brewing
Dundee’s first operating brewery in more than 50 years, has opened a new restaurant on Perth Road. The Maker’s menu offers a diverse selection of substantial pub fare, such as lentil moussaka, pretzel breadsticks, and cola BBQ pork belly, with an international twist. After dinner, look for regular live jazz and blues performances at the basement bar.
