SCHLOSS Roxburghe, a beautiful historic manor house set in the elegant countryside of the Scottish Borders, is an idyllic choice for a UK staycation this autumn.

There are 26 new cottages set in the beautiful woodland on the estate, ideal for couples, families and golfers.  With a mix of two and one bedroom cottage options, some with their own private saunas, a total of 61 cottages will be available by May 2024.  While the recently refurbished Estate House has recently introduced 58 additional rooms, with incredible views of the estate.  As in the main manor house, the Estate House also welcomes dogs, with dog baskets and homemade dog treats provided.

Having recently opened, SCHLOSS Spa, the first outdoor spa in the Scottish Borders, focuses on general wellbeing, mindfulness and rejuvenation.  The  new 1100sqm spa facility includes a heated outdoor infinity edge pool, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, a plunge pool, a fitness suite, three treatment rooms, a Finnish dry sauna and aromatic sauna.  While a selection of spa treatments range from the SCHLOSS signature massage and Deep Tissue Golfer’s Massage and muscle ease to reflexology, body and wellbeing treatments, skincare, beauty, fitness and wellness classes.  The spa uses a range of products from Aromatherapy Associates and KLORIS CBD and there are day spa, spa break and membership options available.

The new restaurant Charlie's offers 'Scottish bistronomy' at its finest, born from the hotel’s concept to showcase the best, home grown produce and ingredients in the Scottish Borders, with a holistic approach to the “Estate to plate” philosophy.  Guests can enjoy a range of dishes from an 8oz Ribeye of Border Beef to a Wild Mushroom & Tarragon Strudel, paired with a crisp wine or Lady Chatto’s Rose, the hotel’s new handcrafted gin.  While Sunlaws restaurant offers guests a selection of fine dining options, including seven course taster menus, with vegan and pescetarian options.  Dishes include Wye Valley Asparagus and Fillet of Halibut, accompanied with a selection of wine, whisky and gin pairings.  

Activities lie at the heart of the SCHLOSS Roxburghe.  Guests can enjoy a round of golf on the Championship Course, fly fishing on the river or Trout Loch, archery and country sports including Clay Pigeon Shooting, with 10 new traps available at the newly refurbished Shooting Centre.  Ideal for team building groups, families and couples, there is something to suit different tastes and abilities, whether you’re an expert in your field or a beginner.  Other activities include cycling, riding, hiking, croquet and a range of excursions and adventures.
