THE LODGE ON LOCH LOMOND HOTEL
The Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel has always enjoyed the perfect Loch side destination for a relaxing stay or wedding. The team are delighted to have won the “Best Wedding Venue” award as nominated by the readers in the Best of Scotland Readers' Choice Awards – a testament indeed to the hard work of the team and wonderful feedback from their couples.
It’s been another extremely busy year for the wedding and events side of the business and wonderful to see friends and families coming together to celebrate weddings bigger and better than before covid.
Some exciting additions and changes to the wedding offering at The Lodge and in particular to the McMillan Suite, include a new outdoor ceremony patio space with glass balustrade directly overlooking Luss Beach and Loch Lomond. A stunning slate outdoor fire pit sits alongside the patio that can accommodate 30 seated, and a further evening reception suite the Glen Lomond has its own outdoor patio space – the perfect combination of spaces to really make the most of your Wedding Day.
This year there have been many trends that the hotel has noticed incorporated more into weddings such as additional live entertainment, including string quartets, singing duos and tribal band performances not only during the evening reception but also during the after-ceremony drinks receptions. Couples are also investing more on décor, and suppliers such as ice cream and candy carts, cocktail and pizza vans. The full experience of the day seems to be the focus for guests and has seen an injection of ideas and personality from couples – choreographed first dances, live animals and pets involved in ceremonies, and Tik Tok trends galore.
The hotel also continues to grow and develop with the addition of AmberRose Spa and The Beach House, enhancing the overall facilities on offer for guests. Following an investment of £695,000 the Spa facilities include two luxurious treatment rooms offering spa therapies from leading brand Germaine de Capuccini. The spa has dedicated manicure and pedicure stations and guests can take time to relax and unwind in the Thermal Suite which includes a two person Rasul for touchless treatment, aroma steam room, hot and cold showers, Himalayan salt and herbal sauna, and heated relaxation loungers. There are also plush changing facilities to complete the experience.
To compliment the luxurious treatment rooms, the spa therapists will provide a selection of face and body experiences that are focused on therapeutically targeting health and wellbeing. There are a few signature treatments like the ‘Warming Beach Shell Massage’, and ‘The Shore Man’ which will energise, invigorate and fit perfectly with the hotels setting and location. These signature experiences are also perfect for couples in the lead-up to their Wedding Day.
As the hotel looks forward to winter and a little quieter wedding season, preparation for all that 2024 will bring is now under way and the team look forward to creating more magical memories throughout the coming year.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
