They’ve been co-stars for years, and Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams made sure to commemorate their long friendship and time on Game of Thrones together by getting matching tattoos.

The Brit stars, who play Sansa Stark and Arya Stark respectively, have both had the dates they found out they were cast on Thrones on their inner arms.

Sophie, 20, showed hers off on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards on Sunday, a tiny peach inking that bore the date 07. 08. 09.

Speaking to red carpet reporter for E!, Giuliana Rancic, Sophie explained: “I got it in peach because my mum was like, ‘make sure it doesn’t show up’.”

Maisie, 19, also has a pale inking of the same date on her inner arm, and they both made sure to wear sleeveless gowns at the prestigious TV awards event, which saw Game of Thrones win a record-breaking number of awards.

The previous day, at the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles, Sophie went into more detail about the co-stars’ adorable matching tattoos.

“It’s the 7th of August and not the 9th of July, because in the UK we put our date the other way around,” she explained.

“It was the day I found out I got the part in Game of Thrones. (Maisie) found out as well, but we didn’t know each other then so it’s quite a prominent date for both of us.

“It’s a day that both of our lives changed forever.”
