Scripted by Edinburgh-based writers David Cairns and Fiona Watson and starring Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth in Game Of Thrones), Brian O'Malley's horror thriller pitches a small Scottish town into the jaws of hell with the arrival in the local police station of a man known only as Six.
Boy Meets Girl (15)
Not to be confused with the ITV series of the same name, this six-part BBC sitcom made history of sorts by casting a transgender woman (stand-up comic Rebecca Root) in the role of a transgender woman. Clever, eh? She's the girl of the title, of course. The boy who falls for her and who has to deal with the consequences is young Leo (Harry Hepple). The near 15-year age gap doesn't help matters either.
The Naked Prey (12)
A leading man in 1940s Hollywood (and a former Olympian), Cornel Wilde later turned producer and director. He takes all three roles in this 1965 curio, the story of an un-named guide leading two white hunters into the African veldt. When they fall foul of the locals, the hunters are killed but Wilde escapes – and is then hunted himself. It anticipates films as varied as dystopian sci-fi thriller Running Man and Mel Gibson's Apocalypto, and it's presented here by re-release specialists Eureka!
