David Bowie will not tour again, according to his booking agent John Giddings.

The legendary singer has not toured since 2004 and many fans are hopeful he may return to the stage for a farewell concert.

But his agent says he has no plans to come out of retirement.

He said: "David [Bowie] is one of the best artists I’ve ever worked with. But every time I see him now, before I even speak to him, he goes, ‘I’m not touring’ and I say, ‘I’m not asking… He has decided to retire and, like Phil Collins, you can’t demand these people go out there again and again and again.”

Bowie released The Next Day in 2013 prompting speculation that he may return to the stage.
