Playwright Peter Arnott, pictured, has turned novelist and is launching his debut, Moon Country, at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh tonight at 7.30pm. Published by Vagabond Books, his existential Scottish comedy Western is "about a man coming out of prison and attempting to re-unite his family by kidnapping them with the aid of a gun and a bag of stolen money" says the author.

As well as Arnott reading from the book, the evening will also feature songs from his currently touring hit Janis Joplin: Full Tilt sung by the show's star Angie Darcy.
