Seann Walsh has made quite a name for himself as a champion of fellow comedic talent, with the likes of Romesh Ranganathan thanking the 28-year-old from Brighton for getting them on the path to commercial success. Mark Simmons, his clean-cut friend who now resides in Kent, is the support act on Walsh's 28 tour, and although his self-deprecating jokes about being a cross between Ed Sheeran and Big Bird were mildly amusing he needs to work on a more cohesive identity. With Jimmy Carr's laugh, Frankie Boyle's nasal twitch and Tim Vine's penchant for punning, the short warm-up didn't really satisfy (although shoe-horning some elementary maths jokes into his set was a bit of a talent).

Opening with a The X Factor style sob story video projection, 28 is an exploration of what happens to Walsh's life when his girlfriend moves in. "Who are these guests, we've to clean up for?" he exclaimed, "I used to have friends! Not guests." He claims he's not lazy, just activity intolerant, and he is fully aware he cannot compete with the feeling his audience will have when they return home, put their key in the lock, kick off their shoes and reach for their dressing gown.

With acerbic observations on quinoa, Bikram Yoga, Netflix and hairdryers (to his mind, otherwise known as noise guns) it is clear his girlfriend has had quite the impact on his formerly bachelor-lifestyle and drunken antics. The fact she was given the right to reply at the end of the set is probably testament to his actual feelings, even if the prison-bound female heckler may disagree.
