The Decoy Bride, the first in a series of blockbuster films made in Scotland, is to premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival later this month, and you could be there for the big event.

The romantic comedy, which stars Scots David Tennant and Kelly MacDonald, is set on a Hebridean island, with some scenes filmed in and around Glasgow and others at Auchindrain, near Inveraray in Argyll.

It is the first 2012 release in a procession of big-budget films that have been made in Scotland over the last two years, generating millions for the economy and boosting international awareness of the locations featured.

As well as its two Scots stars, the Decoy Bride features British actresses Alice Eve (Sex in the City 2) and Sally Phillips (Smack the Pony) and American actors Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) and Federico Castelluccio (The Sopranos) .

The March 9th release of The Decoy Bride (available on DVD March 12) will be followed by three more anticipated hits, with Cloud Atlas, starring Halle Berry, and Under the Skin, starring Scarlett Johansson, both due to be released later this year.

World War Z, the Brad Pitt zombie movie which brought the centre of Glasgow to a near standstill, and is credited with bringing over £3.3 million to the city's economy, is scheduled for release in 2013.

The boom in companies choosing Scottish film locations has also continued into 2012, with Daniel Craig and Judi Dench currently filming scenes from the new James Bond movie Skyfall, in Glencoe.

The Decoy Bride is the only comedy in a movie collection dominated by dramas. It begins when plans for the society wedding of novelist James (Tennant) and Hollywood actress Lara (Eve) go awry.

They decide to escape the paparazzi by holding their wedding on a remote Hebridean island, but a horde of persistent media track them down.

Local girl Katie (MacDonald) is asked to play a 'decoy bride' to put the pursuers off the scent, and she unexpectedly charms the groom-to-be in the process.

The film's wedding theme is just another trip up the aisle for Tennant, who married Georgia Moffet in London on New Year's Eve. In a parallel between life and art, the wedding was a small, low-key ceremony, the details of which were not revealed to the media until after it had taken place.

We have two pairs of tickets to the film festival premiere at Cineworld Glasgow to give away. The winners will be invited to walk the 'red carpet' with other guests, gaining privileged access to the screening as some of the first members of the public to see The Decoy Bride.

Afterwards, they will attend a discussion with director, Sheree Folkson, and Sally Phillips, star of Smack the Pony and a script-writer and actor for the film.

In addition to the premiere tickets for two winners, three runners-up will each receive a copy of the Decoy Bride DVD.
