A Glasgow street has been transformed into Europe’s longest star tunnel.

Argyle Street – or Stargyle Street as its now known – has now become a must-visit destination for Christmas with an 80ft long immersive attraction that stretches along of the city’s busiest streets.

There is also a playful, interactive feature with a special activation button that triggers a chasing light sequence representative of Santa’s sleigh taking off.

The LED lights racing along the tunnel are accompanied by a whooshing sound and ‘Stargyle Street’ is set to be perfect for families.

The city, which is set to host the Commonwealth Games in 2026, continues to showcase its ability to dazzle and delight crowds of all ages, with the instillation of Stargyle Street.

Glasgow’s Lord Provost, Jacqueline McLaren said: “Christmas in Glasgow is always a magical experience especially when shared with family and friends. The festive season is now in full swing.

"I’d encourage everyone to visit the markets, the tree and see all the sparkling lights in George Square then take a walk through our new star tunnel on Argyle Street adding even more sparkle to Christmas.”
