 Koji Hatakeyama

Recognised internationally as a master of his craft, Koji Hatakeyama presents a new series of bronze boxes for his fifth show at the gallery. The artist’s beautifully crafted objects bridge a connection between Japan’s cultural history and Western philosophies of modernism and abstract expressionism.

Frances Priest: Unfixing

It sounds just like escape

Artist Cameron McCracken’s latest show explores a lifelong fascination and love for forests, nature and fairy tales. There’s illustration, installation, audio works and sculptures on display and visitors can expect to see, and hear,  lots of greenery, trees and life.

The Art and Life of Sheila Girling

Over 70 of Sheila Girling’s large scale paintings and collages from the 1970s to the 2010s are on display at Bowhouse. The exhibition also includes important sculptures from internationally renowned Sir Anthony Caro, Girling’s husband and lifelong artistic collaborator.

Hidden Heritage - Crail’s Art and Artists

Discover over 50 paintings held by Crail Museum. The artworks on show in this exhibition aren’t normally displayed and features artists including Joseph Milne and others from the Glasgow Boys. There’s also paintings by Reginald Duncan and Crail artists.

K[6]abinet of curiosities

3 August-7 September. Entry free. The Telos Box, North Street, St Andrews. 

Two contemporary art exhibitions have been created for this project by artist, curator and educator Lada Wilson. A custom made cabinet containing 72 objects are on display in the Telos Box. The objects range from found objects to objects made in response to conversations with people who have influenced Wilson as an artist and curator.

Chasing the Light: A Celebration of Beauty

Chasing the Light is the latest solo exhibition from the studio of Dot Walker. Light is a precious commodity in the north of Scotland and as a result, it greatly affects life and art. This exhibition explores the changing light and weather on the surrounding coastline with the viewer invited to feel the elements as perceived by the artist.
