What is it?

A video streaming service with exclusive Disney content.

Whiling away the hours in lockdown can be tricky for those with younger children, especially if lacking in a garden or outdoor space. If confined indoors for prolonged periods, why not kickback with Disney's fairy tales and magic?

Good points?

Thanks to streaming technology, an entire cast of characters can come to life in glorious 4K. The addition of Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic provide something for everyone, be it classic movies such as Bambi and Dumbo, recent releases like Aladdin, The Lion King and Toy Story 4 – or more than 600 episodes of The Simpsons.

Seven profiles can be set up to allow personalised content with four able to be active at any one time. To negate excessive load on your internet bandwidth, all media can be downloaded and viewed offline. Most device types are supported including mobile, tablet, TV and games consoles which allows multiple viewings simultaneously.

The interface is simple and easy to navigate no matter the age of the user. Recommendations are intuitive and showcase the range of shows and films available without flooding the screen. Original content, such as the Star Wars TV series, is unique enough to keep you from hopping over to another service.

Bad points?

As the service is still in its infancy, there is not quite the same volume of entertainment as more established streaming companies. Nor is it clear how frequently new titles will be added to the catalogue or how soon after Disney movies have left cinemas they will be included.

Best for ...

Those who love Disney's classic storytelling.

Avoid if ...

You prefer a bit more edge to your visual entertainment or feel yet another streaming subscription would be an unnecessary expense.
