Sometimes the best things do come in small packages.

Small plate servings are blooming in a big way, Spanish-style. This week, Yelp is serving up truly tip-top tapas places in Glasgow and Edinburgh so you can get a taste of everything on the menu.

Indaba

3 Lochrin Terrace near Lothian Road, Edinburgh

This "hidden gem" is a Spanish-South African-Venezuelan fusion restaurant, serving up fresh grilled sardines, haggis Murcia with spinach and pine nuts, and the most gorgeous molten-centred-chocolate-heaven-on-a-plate that Susan D has ever had.

Barca Tapas

Princes Square, Glasgow

Claire B recommends popping in here after shopping - "they do an array of mouth-watering tapas and they have an excellent express lunch menu". The lunch menu is £9.95 for two courses and options include gazpacho, croquettes and paella.

El Quiote

13 Brougham Place, Edinburgh

Laura D came here with "tingling tastebuds" and indulged in traditional tapas: manchego cheese, iberico ham, white asparagus with cheese, and a larger dish of stewed pork cheek. She reckons it's "an ideal date venue" with sharing small plates for two.

Casa Ole

1835 Paisley Road West, Glasgow

Emma C is delighted with the selection served up, ranging from gambas gabardinas, morcilla and pinchos de atun (that's prawns, sausage and tuna skewers to those less fluent). Well stocked with wine, this cosy place is perfect to nibble your night away.

La Sal

6 Howden Street, Edinburgh

Hidden behind the main street, this new tapas bar is part of the Flamenco school, so at the weekends you can watch live Flamenco shows with your tapas and Spanish wine - a night of "dance, singing, clapping, percussion and guitar".

Brutti Compadres

3 Virginia Court, Glasgow

"This restaurant sits off the beaten track that is Argyle Street," advises Scott C. The menu offers a decent selection of normal sized dishes with a tapas style selection of various nibbles, including chorizo bites, croquettes and tortilla.

Rayan D enjoyed 12 different dishes here, including "gambas, chorizo, warm chicken and potato". And they've got real Spanish hot chocolate and churros for dessert for those with a sweet tooth!

Malaga Tapas

You'll find an "extensive range to choose from - patatas bravas with a delicious hot sauce, sardines with sliced garlic and meatballs and chorizo", just to name a few. Don't forget Kevin P's tip of "going native" and getting some sangria to go with your meal.

Café Andaluz

77 George Street, Edinburgh

Kelly F loves tapas, so she headed into this city centre restaurant to feast on their chorizo and red wine, patatas bravas, pork meatballs, and lemon and paprika chicken. Her dining partner's black pudding and pork cheeks were nae bad too.

Torres

Francesca R recommends the mini chicken paella which she says is "inspired".

At lunch you can order three tapas dishes for £8.95 and try Spanish delights such as manchego cheese, pan a la Catalana or albondigas.
