THE widow of Arthur Thompson, the former Glasgow godfather, has died. Rita Thompson, 72, who had throat cancer, died on Tuesday. She had lived in the same house in Provanmill since Mr Thompson died of a heart attack in 1993. His former business associate, Frankie Fraser, said Mrs Thompson was a "lovely lady".
