Peter Moores says England players will be "playing for the badge" and not just financial gain when they take part in the Stanford Super Series this month.

England will play a West Indies select XI in just under three weeks' time in Antigua. The winner of that match will take home $20m (£11.5m) to share between the players and coaching staff. Last week, England batsman Alastair Cook said the main reason behind the match was money, a claim rejected by England head coach Moores yesterday.

"Alastair knows that and we'll be very proud to go out there and play for England," Moores told Sky Sports News. "You can't get away from the fact that there's a lot of money involved . . . but realistically, when the lads walk out there they will be playing for the badge like they always do."
