SCOTLAND’S economic prospects could be significantly enhanced through stronger collaboration between its universities and businesses, a new report has found.

Published by the Growing Value Scotland Task Force – which aims to enhance the value of publicly-funded research and increase university-business collaboration – the report draws on interviews with business leaders in Scotland’s creative and digital, oil and gas, life sciences, food and drink, tourism and financial services sectors

The task force, which is co-chaired by STV chief executive Rob Woodward and Ian Diamond, principal and vice chancellor of Aberdeen University, will make recommendations in its third and concluding report on 25 May.
