The countdown is underway for The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024 which will take place on Thursday, September 26 at Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow.
The Awards, which are supported by Redwood Marketing, LocaliQ and s1homes, are amongst the most eagerly-anticipated events in Scotland’s property calendar, with a reputation for their rigorous judging process and the continual updating of their categories in order to reflect innovation within the sector.
Two new awards for this year are Property Marketing Team of the Year and Excellence in Sustainability Award, sponsored by Lowther Homes part of Wheatley Group and these, along with 15 other accolades will be given in recognition of exceptional achievements and the attainment of the highest possible standards within the Scottish property landscape.
The evening itself will be a celebration for the industry, honouring the exceptional work of local authorities, housing associations, large-volume construction firms and niche builders in both residential and commercial sectors and, following a sparkling drinks reception, the event will be jointly hosted by comedian Des Clarke and TV & Radio presenter Jennifer Reoch.
Amongst the awards that will be handed out on the night will be: Best Show Home, sponsored by DAW Signs; Best Luxury Home, sponsored by Ross & Liddell; Best Family Home (Large), sponsored by Vision Spaces; Estate Agency of the Year, sponsored by Landmark Scotland; Residential Letting Team of the Year, sponsored by Safe Deposits Scotland; Development of the Year, sponsored by Hyperoptic; Best Regeneration Project - Residential, sponsored by Prime Property Auctions; Best Renovation & Conversion, sponsored by MPH Group
Early indications from the judging panel are that this year’s entries have been outstanding and that has been reflected in the numbers of finalists, with both Affordable Housing Development of the Year, sponsored by NHBC, and Best Apartment in particular receiving significant numbers of high quality applications.
Sponsors too are eagerly anticipating the event and Mike Smith, Head of SafeDeposits Scotland, said: “The Herald Property Awards for Scotland provides a great opportunity to network and celebrate the property sector.”
James Ward, Managing Director of Lowther, said: “We’re really looking forward to the awards where the finalists will showcase their innovative work.”
Stefan Szymoszowskyj, NHBC Regional Director – Scotland said ‘As a champion of high standards in home building, NHBC is proud to be sponsoring the Affordable Housing Development of the Year category. We are delighted to help celebrate the best in the industry. “
And Ewan Mclean, Managing Director of MPH Group, said:” We are excited to celebrate the exceptional achievements within the property industry and to connect with the leading innovators and visionaries who are setting new standards.”
For those working in the property industry, it is an evening not to be missed and there is still time to secure one of the few remaining tickets. These can be obtained from https://newsquestscotlandevents.com/events/heraldpropertyawards/
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
