SPORTING EXCELLENCE
AN important part of the Hutchie curriculum is sport and the school has some of the best school sports facilities in Scotland.
A varied well-coached programme of sport is an integral element of a Hutchesons’ education.
The sports teams compete with the nation’s best and many Hutchesonians enjoy sport to a very high level and are proudly selected to represent both District and National teams.
THE ART OF PERFORMANCE
DRAMA and music both play a key role in the personal and social development of our pupils.
The Drama Department offers them a secure, creative environment, as they work with others to develop their self-esteem and sense of responsibility.
A busy and vibrant Music Department at Hutchesons’ combines the principle of ‘Music for all.’
The purpose-built music school comprises of three large classrooms, a music technology studio, and a 350-seat auditorium.
An excellent programme of individual tuition is available through our extensive instrumental tuition scheme which is staffed by high-level professional musicians. n
