AN ABERDEEN-based engineering and construction company has declared it will create up to 80 jobs after clinching a contract with Dana Petroluem.

PD&MS Group, which currently employs around 800 people, will carry out a range of engineering modifications and offshore construction on Dana’s Triton and Western Isles FPSO (floating production storage and offloading) assets in the North Sea. The deal is initially for three years but could be extended to five.

Liam O’Neil, chief operating officer of PD&MS, said: “We look forward to working in partnership with the team at Dana to unlock maximum efficiencies through delivery of safe, predictable, and sustainable solutions. We have an extensive track record of delivering right-sized and innovative modification projects across the full asset lifecycle and combining this with our well-established decarbonisation expertise and experience means we are very well placed to deliver lower-carbon and lower-cost modifications to Dana over the term of the contract.”

PD&MS was formed in 2002 as a specialist engineer in the oil and gas sector, and now serves the broader energy sector.
