The event, which usually takes place in Glasgow’s SWG3, will be held online this year on May 20th, and offers attendees the opportunity to hear from leading figures in the ethical business world

Headliner speakers this year include Amy Smith from pioneering buy-one-give-one company TOMS; Alice Nathoo from popular meditation app Headspace; Carry Somers, founder of Fashion Revolution; Mark Cuddigan, CEO of Ella’s Kitchen, and Ynzo van Zanten from Tony’s Chocolonely.

Also speaking are renowned sustainability experts, Solitaire Townsend, founder of climate agency Futerra, and Mike Barry, former Sustainability Director at Marks & Spencers, who will offer practical advice to attendees seeking to embed environmental practices into their organisations.

Bruce Walker, CEO and Co-founder of FutureX, says:

"We are thrilled to share this year's lineup of trail-blazing business leaders. The purpose-driven business movement is gaining momentum, and this year's speakers show that it's a global trend that's here to stay. Together, we'll be exploring how business can lead the world into a more sustainable and compassionate future."

The company also announced today a new partnership with Zero Waste Scotland. Zero Waste Scotland leads on the delivery of the Scottish Government's Circular Economy strategy and empowers companies to embrace the environmental, economic and social benefits of a circular economy.

FutureX says that the partnership is a critical step towards both meeting Impact Summit's sustainability goals and helping other companies realise both the environmental and financial benefits of being part of a green economy.

Bruce Walker, CEO and Co-founder of FutureX, added:

"We're dedicated to minimising our environmental footprint in both our events and as a business, so we're thrilled to be sponsored by Zero Waste Scotland. This partnership will equip us to better support businesses to become more sustainable and create new value without putting more strain on our planet."

Iain Gulland, Chief Executive, Zero Waste Scotland, says:

"Four-fifths of Scotland's carbon footprint is caused by the vast amount of goods, services and materials which we produce, use and often throw out after just one use.

“That huge amount of waste is also a huge opportunity which can help us build back better - turning waste into value by keeping goods and materials in a ‘loop’ of use for as long as possible.

“The decision to move this summit online illustrates just one of the many ways in which we are all learning about what we can do differently as we look ahead to the climate crisis which remains our greatest challenge.”
