SOME of Scotland’s best-known business figures have signed up to mentor 40 aspiring entrepreneurs.

BrewDog’s James Watt, Cally Russell of Mallzee, Chris van der Kuyl of 4J Studios and Leah Hutcheon of Appointedd are among those who will select candidates for the scheme. The Scotland CAN DO Unlocking Ambition Challenge is being supported by £4 million of Scottish Government money.

Launching the scheme at the Start-up Summit First Minster Nicola Sturgeon, said: “We want to ensure the most talented entrepreneurs, from Scotland and elsewhere, have the best opportunities to develop their ideas here, bring them to market and create the successful new companies we need for our economy... to grow.”
