ROBERTSON Group could carry out contracts worth up to a total of £750 million over the next four years in its role as key infrastructure partner in Scotland for Scape Group.

Scape, the public-sector partnership set up to improve buildings and infrastructure across the UK, has completed the mobilisation of its largest framework to date, the Scape National Construction Framework.

Having launched in May, the framework has reached the stage where works can commence. Major projects in Scotland include 55 new affordable homes as part of the regeneration of Raploch for Stirling City Council.

The value of contracts in Scotland can be between £2m and £20m.

The national framework is divided into five service areas by geography and value, with a combined upper value of £7 billion across four years.

Robertson, which previously worked with Scape as part of the previous major contracts framework, has a supply chain of sub-contractors in place as part of the agreement.

Bill Robertson, executive chairman of the Elgin-based Robertson Group, said: “[We have] forged an excellent working partnership with Scape Group... Our aim with the recently launched Scape Major Works Scotland framework is to build on that success and find new ways to create social value.”
