Property and construction consultancy Tuffin Ferraby Taylor has opened its first Scottish office.

The company already works with a number of companies across Scotland including the likes of Tesco, Screwfix, Royal Bank of Scotland, Aberdeen Asset Management and Standard Life.

Neil Wotherspoon, previously of AECOM and Watts Group, is to head up the venture in Edinburgh with TFT also on the lookout for additional staff.

Mr Wotherspoon described it as “absolutely the right time” to open an office in Scotland and added: “Transactional and lease activity in Scotland are at high levels and the construction sector is healthy and growing.”

Alan Pemberton, managing partner at TFT, said: “The commercial property market in Edinburgh, and more widely across Scotland, is going from strength to strength as both domestic and overseas investors and occupiers look increasingly northward.”
