NVT Group has won a £1 million contract to help social workers who deal with offenders to manage their caseloads. The Lanarkshire-based information technology services group has been appointed by The Scottish Government to support the offender management system for use by social work departments across the country’s 32 local authorities and by the Scottish Prison Service. The system is used by social work staff and around 100 SPS personnel, including psychologists. Hamish Fraser, group director at NVT, said the multi-year contract showed small and medium sized enterprises in Scotland can deliver market leading solutions and win public sector contracts.
