AROUND 50 small firms in Scotland will have the chance to meet business, engineering and scientific experts from the UK’s “catapult” network in Glasgow tonight.

The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult is hosting an event for Scottish SMEs at the Technology & Innovation Centre. It will give firms with technology or skills that could accelerate growth in their sectors the chance to work with sector experts.

Deputy First Minister John Swinney is expected to attend.

The Catapults are designed to boost innovation in sectors such as renewable energy, transport, satellite applications and high value manufacturing.
