GLASGOW-based digital marketing agency Equator is seeking 20 additional staff as it targets further growth.

Equator, which already employs about 130 people at its headquarters in Finnieston, said it had launched the recruitment drive to support organic growth and new client wins in the hotel and financial services sectors.

John McLeish, managing director of Equator, said the agency was looking for a range of skills and expertise, covering creatives, web developers, marketers, producers and account-handlers.

Mr McLeish highlighted an appetite to hire graduates as part of the recruitment drive.

He said: “The past 12 months have been very exciting for Equator, winning a host of new projects and growing the work we deliver for our retained client base.

“We now need to scale [up] across the business, and are seeking experienced people to join us as we embark on a new period of sustained growth.”

Mr McLeish, who founded Equator in 1999, added: “As an agency committed to skills and training, we also want to bring in graduates and talented individuals with a passion for bringing brands to life in a modern connected world.”

Disney, Paul Mitchell, SSE and Malmaison are among the brands with which Equator works.

The agency highlighted its expertise in the hotel, financial, and utilities sectors.

Mr McLeish said: “The digital landscape has changed dramatically in the last five years, and we are now very much positioned as an ideas agency, delivering digitally-led solutions for our partners.”
