Paisley crooner Paolo Nutini is set to rock the SSE Hydro stage for the first time this weekend.
The Caustic Love star will perform at the venue on Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10 after he was forced to cancel the shows - originally scheduled last October - due to a bout of severe tonsillitis.
To put you in the mood for the gig, here are 20 amazing Paolo Nutini facts to impress your mates with.
1. The singer's full name is Paolo Giovanni Nutini. The English translation is Paul John - it doesn't quite have the same exotic ring to it, does it?
2. Paolo was born on January 9, 1987. He will therefore be celebrating his 28th birthday on the Hydro stage. Happy birthday Paolo!
3. The singer's family run Castelvecchi cafe in New Street Paisley.
4. Paolo's dad Alfredo met his mum Linda Harkins who worked at the cafe. He asked her out on a date and the rest his history as they say. They have been married 30 years.
5. Paolo is a big brother. He has a younger sister Francesca.
6. Before finding fame, Paolo worked as a roadie, sold t-shirts at Speedway and he even had a stint as a studio hand at Glasgow's Park Lane Studio.
7. The singer actually got his break in 2003 thanks to Fame Academy star David Sneddon. Remember him? A homecoming gig had been organised for David's return to Paisley. Sneddon was running late and as the winner of an impromptu pop quiz Paolo was given the chance to perform. He performed an Elton John song - rumour is, it was Candle in the Wind. He was spotted by Brendan Moon, who was in the audience and he offered to manage him.
8. Since signing to Atlantic Records in May 2005, Paolo has released three albums - These Streets, Sunny Side Up and Caustic Love.
9. Paolo's first single Last Request was released from debut album These Streets back in 2006. It peaked at number 5 in the UK singles charts. But did you know Paolo made two videos?
10. He also recorded two videos for his fourth single New Shoes. But we only care about the fact that he filmed one of the videos in Shawlands. He brought the area to a standstill when he made the video for the upbeat track back in March, 2012.
11. If you look closely you will see Paolo's band of Texas stars tattoo which go round his forearm. The singer previously admitted in an interview he could not deal with the pain of the tattoo, saying, "It felt a bit like a bee running its sting up and down your arm."
12. Paolo showed his love for fellow Scots Chvrches by performing their track Recover on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. The star has performed it a few times live but he notably left it out of his set at Radio 1 Big Weekend held in Glasgow last year as the band were also performing at the same event. At the time he told the Evening Times: "I do a cover of Chvrches that I've left out of my set tonight out of respect for them but maybe that was the wrong thing to do, maybe they'd like to hear it. They can let me know if they do."
13. The Live Lounge favourite also covered The Buzzcock's Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)
14. The Live Lounge seems to love anything by Paolo. Singer Ella Eyre covered Funk Up My Life Up on the Live Lounge but do we like it as much as Paolo's?
15. Indie band The View recorded a track with Paolo which features on their second album Which Bitch? The track Covers was never released and Paolo only featured on the album by chance. The singer and The View were recording at the Monnow Valley Studios in Wales and it was only because cheeky frontman Kyle Falconer asked Paolo if he wanted to join them, that he became a guest vocalist on the track.
16. You know you have made it when you have your own tribute act - and Paolo is no exception. Portrayed by Jamie King McArthur, Paolo Martini is the UK's only tribute act to the soul star. You can like his Facebook page and find out more about Paolo Martini here
17. Paolo's track Iron Sky features an audio excerpt of the famous speech Charlie Chaplain gave in his 1940 film The Great Dictator.
18. And it seems singer Adele is a fan of the track Iron Sky. She tweeted that it was one of the best things she had ever seen in her life. Ok Adele, we get it, you love Paolo!
19. Paolo has been a support act for The Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse and KT Tunstall. Now that is impressive.
20. Speaking of The Rolling Stones, the singer covered their 1969 hit Gimme Shelter. He was asked by Mick Jagger and Ben Affleck to perform the track for a documentary of the same name on the plight of the millions of people displaced from their homes as a result of fighting in the Sudanese region.
